Prospero: Occult Magician or Shakespeare himself, self described as theatrical Illusionist.

With friends, next week I'm due to see the Tempest at the London Globe (Sam Wannamaker). Two of the party are new to the play. I've written them a spoiler free synopsis, harder to achieve than I expected.

One person in the group is a vehement and studious Christian. (But a very nice chap, else I wouldn't have invited him) A few days ago he quizzed or perhaps challenged me on the occult aspects of the play. He pointed out that the Tempest's shipwreck has been linked to St Paul's shipwreck.

In the early days of Harry Potter some Christian groups were 'anti' JK Rowling but I think his concerns here are more worthy of analysis.

Do the team have any thoughts on this topic. My synopsis is added below.
