Mountain Pass, point of no return?

On my first playthrough. I went with the Underdark route to Moonrise towers, and I am in the shadow cursed lands now, close to the tower. I would like to complete every zone on this playthrough. At what point should I turn back and do the Mountain Pass and Gith creche if I don't want to miss out on that?
