Optiplex 3080 Micro Upgrade from i3 10100T --> i9 10900T

I have recently purchased a Optiplex 3080 Micro with an i3 10100T. I will use this Mini PC for Proxmox. But when the time comes I will want to upgrade this Mini PC. So my question is would it be possible to upgrade it to an i9 10900T? Or would this be not possible. Generally the Optiplex 3080 Micro supports 10th Gen Intel CPUs so I don't know why this wouldn't be possible.
