Trying to be socially relatable again (help)
Hi, Im a F19 second year uni student studying CS.
On paper I’m doing fine. I'm a fairly good student and and I look decent. But socially I feel completely out of place. I’ve never been big on social media. Back in junior high I at least knew the hot celebrities, popular shows, internet drama etc. Now I feel like I know nothing.
I mostly use facebook for school stuff and Instagram only for my very small circle. During my never ending bus rides I scroll on reddit but Idk any other mongolian subreddits. When I talk to classmates i can’t help but go back to school topics because I genuinely don’t know what else to say. I see them talking about streamers and I don’t even know what platform these streamers are on or what they actually do.
I read, I have hobbies, I’m not antisocial but I constantly feel like I'm living under a rock or like an Amish person. I’m tired of feeling like an outsider in every room. What are young people doing nowadays?
Would really appreciate any advice or even just knowing I’m not alone.
