Problems opening games on my laptop (Win10)
Good morning, I'd like to ask if anyone has had the same problem as me for a few days, and if anyone has already solved it.
When I try to launch games that have been running on my PC for years, they don't run.
Games that used to launch without problems less than a week ago now don't run.
According to Steam, the program is running, and if I try to close the game, Steam declares it's closing, and that's it; it just stays there, without closing. The same goes for Task Manager, which also stops responding.
These are the specs of my laptop:
-Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz
-16GB RAM
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB
-Windows 10
Inevitably, I know that the main problem could/should be Windows 10. Due to my processor's inability to upgrade to Windows 11, I'm forced to keep the old operating system.
All drivers are updated, all game files are intact, Steam cache is cleared, and sfc/scannow via CMD didn't detect anything unusual.
I can't figure it out, but thanks in advance to anyone who'll want to answer my question.
