Am I Crazy or does this Sound Impossible?
I am a general education teacher grades 1-6 and I'm getting my masters in early childhood education. In one of my classes, for field work we have to observe a child age 1-3 and how their caregiver interacts with them. This would be for 1 hour and 30 minutes every week while in their home.
I've done field work before and it has went fine but this just seems hard because we will not be assigned anyone, we have to find someone on our own and convince them to let us do this. I live in New York and I just can't imagine anyone finding this normal and letting me into their house for an hour and a half every week to record them and take notes on it.
Is it me or does the same like a hard task? If it's in the curriculum I assume everyone gets it done but I just don't understand how I'm going to get someone to say yes to this.
Thank you in advance for any input
