Searching for a Pokémon ROM Hack I Can Truly Commit To

Hello dear ROM hack community, I need your help.

I’ve been playing Pokémon for a very long time, and for several years now I’ve also been regularly playing ROM hacks. I only recently got back into playing more consistently after quitting smoking, and since then I always carry my modded 3DS with me so I don’t get bored when I’m out and about.

I’ve really fallen in love again with properly diving deep into a single game while playing on console. I also enjoy completing the Pokédex, doing shiny-only runs, or other kinds of challenges. What I enjoy the most, however, is building a cool team during a playthrough and sticking with it instead of constantly swapping Pokémon.

During my ~100 hours with Pokémon Lazarus, I also noticed that I really enjoy holding myself back and only progressing the story once I’ve truly completed everything a given area has to offer.

Now to my actual question/request:

I’m looking for a ROM hack that I can sink a lot of time into — filling the Pokédex, shiny hunting, improving my team, completing quests, etc.

At the same time, it shouldn’t be “Run & Bun” level difficult. I do want to be challenged, but not to an extreme degree.

It would also be great if there were meaningful post-game content with additional challenges that motivate continued play after finishing the main story.

Thanks in advance for your help — I really appreciate it :)

Here are some ROM hacks I already have on my radar, but I’m still unsure whether they’re suitable for what I’m looking for:

•	Pokémon Unbound

•	Pokémon Renegade Platinum

•	Pokémon Heart and Soul

•	Pokémon Radical Red
