[PS3] How wpuld I go about editing my save file?

TL;DR: My world didn't generate the treasure chest it was supposed to, leaving me without a Heart of the Sea permanently. Is there any way to take my save file onto a USB, edit my hotbar to add in the Heart of the Sea, then save it back to my PS3? No jailbreaking or emulator suggestions, please.
