Rpgs with Character Creation and companions?

One of the things I love more about rpgs is being able to create my own character, seeing it on screen and interacting with my companions.

If posible, I would like them not to be too outdated (for example, I'm a bit reluctant to play BG1 and 2), and I don't really care how the combat is.

I've played Baldur's Gate 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, Dragon Age Origins and 2 and Mass Effect, and I'm looking to buy/play both Pathfinders, both Pillars of Eternity, GreedFall, the rest of the DA series and Rogue Trader.
