Season 2 is something of a letdown.

I love the acting, and I love the characters. The plot could be great, but the writing at times feels more like convenient Mission Impossible nonsense than the smooth intelligence of The Night Manager. There are some brilliance though, mostly from face to face. And again, the acting is great. I suppose the series needs to reinvent itself without the source material from the novel.
