Advice needed
I’m in the early stages of an extremely ambitious entry in the Frog and Toad fan fiction canon and I need a bit of advice.
Undergirding the childlike innocence of the friendship between Frog and Toad are the cold, hard realities of fundamental physical laws and the geopolitics that logically follow.
For a proper treatment of these essential details, I have ab initio created a new Standard Model of particle physics and derived from it all physical laws governing their simple world. However, in every simulation exercise of these laws, Toad suffers from a rare genetic disease requiring extensive life support intervention just to keep him alive. In this apparently anarcho-capitalist society in which even a public or private mail service doesn’t exist (cf., A. Lobel, “The Letter”), how can I justify the existence of a healthcare system willing to treat unproductive individuals? Perhaps Frog never meets Toad, and my story follows Frog as he uses his charisma and wits to impose his will upon the denizens of the woodlands.
Obviously, I can adapt the story as needed; the important thing is that the physics framework is rock solid. Some advice would be greatly appreciated.
