Some Anatomy tips needed!

Hello!! Hope everyone reading this is doing alright today :)

Here goes my question: how do you study anatomy? (keep reading the post! I go into how I'm currently planning to study anatomy!)

The reason why I'm asking is because I want to dive back into it again to make my drawings better and more detailed and I wanted some extra input from other artists so, please share around!

Disclaimer, I'm not new to anatomy, but I do want to also improve it and bring it to the next level!

I actually tried my hand at researching on my own first and here's what I came up for now by combining with personal experience:

  1. Study Movement based parts
    • Study how the lower and upper part of the body work (a.k.a. how the upper torso and pelvis turn and connect. They are connected to the most amount of joints, so they are by far the most important for movement.)
  2. Study Expression based parts
    • Hands and head primarily! Which is an understatement but hey, I'll manage
  3. After all of this, simplify and stylize depending on what inspirations I crave.

Please, don't shy away from telling me if there's something I can improve here! I'd love to hear other approaches!! As I said, I'm not new to art or anatomy, I can draw the basic proportions, but I'd like to go a step further!

Thank you for reading :3
