Need Advice for Roomate situation

I’m a first year medical student studying abroad and this is my first semester. I live together with my roommate and I adore her very much . We both have the same sense of humor, have late night talks , share laughs and have a great time together. There is also two other friends I met here and our rooms are also near . We get complimented on our friendship oftenly and I have never had such warm and sister like friendships .( we are all in the same dorm ) .

But since our exams are nearing I have noticed somethings. I used to study in my room using a white board and moving ( back In my country), which is the most effective way for me to memorize. I don’t have a white board here but I could atleast talk loudly cuz my Roomate went to the library. But now she’s also staying in the room claming studying subjects which require memorizing is hard to study in the library cuz she needs to talk too. And now I can’t talk either cuz I’m gonna be disturbing her . I asked her if me speaking was ok and she said it was fine but still I don’t know . Will this be an issue or am I over reacting cuz I feel like getting a single room . But I’m scared that I might be trading such warmth and amazing human connections. ( I will be moving 2 floors if I get a single room)

Also i started to get this feeling of wanting a single room after we went to visit one of our friends who lives in a single room( different floor ) now , i have been to her room a countless times and this is the first time i had this urge to.This makes me feels like i am noticing things and making up excuses. I’m scared i might lose something valuable and rare because I’m blinded.

Some other issues are she’s a bit untidy . I’m the one who always sweeps and take out the trash , cleans the washroom ( she doesn’t seems to have a problem with untidy washrooms ) and such . I’m also not tidy all the time but I’m more clean than her . This isn’t a major issue for me (yet ) . Also every interaction makes me feel like I don’t wanna leave this bond and cozy room but I don’t know how it’ll be for my studies .

Please give me advise .
