Understood if it's indirect, what's the major kickback on this? It's wild how many situations I've seen where a vehicle gets towed by a Leo's request when the vehicle is operable and the involved party is offering immediate alternative resources or solutions.

I had my own vehicle towed after a friend lost control from bad weather management and highway patrol denied AAA request, even though it was clear of traffic on the shoulder in rural Iowa. It was followed by an insane charge from the wrecker, but I see it all the time. Lot fees of $200+ a day, for an obvious shit box.
