Don't trust Uber
Last year in July, I was taking a class at the Aurora Training Institute in Toowoomba, and I usually have someone drive me to and from class every Tuesday and Thursday. One day, they was late to picking me up to go home, and I had no other travel options. Soon enough, I got a call from my brother to check in on me (I don't remember the exact conversation). My brother suggested I take an Uber home, and I agreed. What a mistake that was, because I was giving my brother my location to give to the first Uber driver (which took a while because my brother was getting confused with the information I was giving), and once we finally got it sorted, the first driver cancelled because apparently it was a timed thing. After this, we got in touch with another driver, who actually knows what he was doing, and he picked me up. From here on out, I will never take an Uber home, no matter where I am.
Note: This story is for people in Australia, so those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, can ignore this post.
