What do you think about hierarchical structures of organising committees for college events?
Whenever there are any events in college they created so called committees. Some profs at apex, few below them to assist, then final year guys below these profs called 'Heads' and then more final year guys below them to lead committees, then penultimate year guys and then at bottom juniors.
I find this structure useless. Everyone finds someone to boss and ends up serving others above them. Why are we so obsessed with hierarchy? Can't we just have a team where everyone has equal power and responsibility??? Profs - seniors - juniors working as equals?
How events are organised in other colleges? Why we prefer hierarchical structures when we can have more equal and just structures (I had read somewhere that companies like Google don't prefer hierarchical structures)?
