I exposed a company on Glassdoor after they rescinded my job offer after I had already resigned, and now they're begging me to remove the review.
I can't believe the audacity of some companies. This just happened to me, and I'm still in shock.
I went through 5 interview stages with them. A few hours after the last one, they sent me the official offer. I was over the moon; it was a 70% increase from my current salary. So, of course, I accepted immediately, signed all the new employment paperwork about a week ago, and submitted my resignation at my old company.
Three days later just a few days after I signed the contract I got a cold, impersonal email. It said that due to unforeseen internal restructuring, the position had been eliminated. They offered to keep me in consideration for future roles. I was literally stunned. I had just burned my bridges with my old job for them!
I frantically called my old manager to see if I could retract my resignation, but she told me they had already hired my replacement and her hands were tied. So just like that, I became unemployed, all because of them.
I was furious. So I went on Glassdoor and wrote a detailed one star review explaining how they screwed me over. This morning, I woke up to a voicemail from their HR director, asking me to please remove the review because it's making it difficult for them to hire new people.
Honestly, I don't feel guilty one bit. They're the ones who created this mess in the first place. The audacity of some of these companies is truly unbelievable.
