First time pregnant at 41, i have no symptoms, didn’t have a check up because doctors insist on doing it in week 8/9 - any advice is appreciated

After a very long 17 months of trying, we finally got pregnant, 5 weeks now. Test was very very positive and my doctor scheduled a first meeting for mid February (8,5 weeks). I asked for blood analysis and ultrasound and she said that only at that time it makes sense.

I have no symptoms at all, besides a heavy headache for 3 days and one vomiting incident. I had a brown spotting in the morning today and i am freaking out. Is this normal?

I also see everyone following HCG here and going to ultrasounds, but doctors here (Germany) apparently don’t even want to make an appointment before 8-9 weeks. I am lost and don’t know what to do next. Any advice is welcome 🙏🏼
