Using win11 in VM for work?

I have been using linux now for 8 months and it has been a great experience. I do gaming and work on my computer. I do have a Windows installation on an SSD that isnt even plugged in at this moment, but I never use it. For work I have managed fine despite being deep into the microsoft eco system with servers and whatnot. My only gripe is the office 365 web applications. They are so much worse than the local client applications. I was thinking of setting up a VM win win 11 on it, and the idéa is that I will have all my work in there. That way I wont need to combine work and personal stuff on my own machine.

Does anybody have any experience with this kind of setup? Will I be able to run the office applications in there? Do you think is a smooth experience?
