Why do many republicans/conservatives have a strong victim mindset?

I am seeing grown republican men and women constantly whining and b*tching about the most useless things nowadays. When ever I visit a republican profile on X and reddit, I see that most of them follow influencers that constantly claim that Christians in the us are under attack or that Democrats want to destroy republicans/ America. Why are they like this?
