His business....

Can someone help me understand if his business is legitimate or not.

Nothing about it makes any sense: it's still privately owned by him, but seems to open lots and lots of stores (super expensive to do), he launches adjacent businesses (again, very expensive to do), and his lifestyle is extremely opulent (also super expensive) ...... yet I don't know anyone familiar with his clothes, and I've never seen anyone wear them. None of it makes sense.

There must be rumours .....?!? If so, what are they.....???
