Why is the Sportsplex is open?

Municipal govt offices (and tons of other offices/workplaces) have a delayed opening but the Sportsplex has been open since 6:00 am!

Why in the hell is everything else having a delayed opening but it’s “business as usual” for all the municipality’s sports and recreation centres?!?

(I don’t work there but I know someone who does.)
