The father of my future child

The father of my future child, whom I've been with for almost 5 years now and I love deeply, just casually told me yesterday that HE gave me a baby, and that is all because of him. He wasn't really kidding. I then proceeded to explain to him that I am actually making this human from scratch and also giving birth? That it's actually the other way around and I am giving him a baby? I just cannot believe he would say something self centered like that. I don't know if I wanna cry, laugh or be angry. Why can't he acknowledge the power we, as women, have to actually create life? Am I crazy here?
