[Donghua] Is it okay to not understand the magic system?

Just started watching. Finished episode 4. Feel very immersed, but since I'm so used to understandable magic systems, It feels very weird to not get some parts of it.

I get the whole "22 pathways and their sequences" part. What I don't get is a few more specific points.

1. During the fight against Clown, maybe it's a bad translation, but Klein using gray fog to enhance Slumber Charm felt inconsistent with Klein barely understanding where do those fray fog powers come from and how to use them

2. I believe that Klein getting control over gray fog and that weird place will be explained later, but..

• How were the other two summoned there? why them?
• I believe they used some sort of catalysts, but those broke afterwards? How can they come back when they want?

3. The part about three honorifics and

• what lead to Klein even thinking about them (including his thought process)
• how those allow other people to basically pray to him
• why that act seems to empower him is honestly still confusing.

If I understand it correctly, he's just experimenting with magic to try and gain more power but how he comes up with such ideas and why they work doesn't match neither

• with what I as viewer know about magic system
• and what I as viewer believe Klein knows about magic system

There are many more minor questions but I think I'll stop with those for now. If anyone can clear things up for me, I'll be very grateful :)
