Bombadier now does singularity attack as well?

Went to Deadline a Bombadier, sneaked close and it turned towards me. Threw a lure and went to place mine on it's rear and as I did so, swirling electrical energy appeared and I was knocked back, severely injured. It looked like the attack a Leaper does, but there was no Leaper. So have they just changed this, to prevent the easy Deadline kill, or is there something else going on?
