RX 9070 XT memory overclocking issues

I had PowerColor Reaper RX 9070 XT with Samsung memory in my PC. I was able to run 2800Mhz memory clock but I returned the GPU due to fan bearing noises. I picked up an AsRock RX 9070 XT Steel Legend with Samsung memory instead.

2800Mhz gave me the best results in Vulkan Memtest and no errors. However, after one day the PC froze at idle with black primary screen and green secondary screen. I lowered the memory clock to 2750Mhz and after 4 days had another similar crash.

I was also able to trigger the exact same crash by setting memory clock to 2950Mhz so it seems to be a memory overclock related crash. I still wanted to try Vulkan Memtest with 2800Mhz again but it also crashed immediately when I pressed apply in Adrenaline. I rebooted the PC and 2800Mhz was fine again and stable in Vulkan Memtest.

It seems like that both 2750Mhz and 2800Mhz are stable in games and Vulkan Memtest but unstable at idle. Even applying the memory clock in Adrenaline seems to trigger something and crash. How common is this? I am now going to try 2700Mhz which is relatively low for Samsung. Losing in silicon lottery is still better than having a faulty GPU which I hope is not the case here.
