I'm tired.
Hi I'm 26M, from Bangalore.
Lately, I haven’t been able to put my mind to anything, feeling disturbed. There’s this quiet kind of loneliness that’s been sitting with me, steadily growing void. The kind that comes from consistently showing up for people and slowly realizing that no one shows up for you the same way.
I’m always the one reaching out. Checking in. Making the effort. Being present. And at some point, you start wondering: If I stopped, would they even notice?
I don’t think I’m asking for too much. I value effort. Consistency. Emotional availability. I give those things freely because that’s how I understand connection. Yet, time and again, it feels like I’m pouring into cups that were never meant to hold anything.
I want a woman in my life. Not to fill a void, but to share something real with someone who understands what it means to show up. Someone who doesn’t disappear when things require presence. Someone who values effort the same way I do. I'm not clingy by any stretch, I'm just doing bare minimum and somehow that's too much to ask these days?
Why does it feel so impossibly hard to find even one person who meets me halfway?
I’m tired of feeling like wanting genuine connection is some kind of flaw. I’m tired of being strong, patient, understanding and still ending up alone. I'm the most patient person I know, and I feel I've hit my breaking point. I don’t know what the answer is anymore.
I just know this hurts. Hurts like a bitch.
