Stopping last feed

Troubleshooting/Tips

Hi, I breastfeed my 1.5 year old before bed and it’s been down to this feed for a pretty long time. In March, I have a conference and will be away from her for 4 nights and I don’t want to pump. Right after this, my husband and her meet me in that location for a vacation.

My question is, do I stop before I go or let that be when I stop? She goes to bed with no issue for other people without it. I worry if I don’t see her for those days of the conference and then when I get her back and she’s excited to see me, it will really make her sad not to be able to nurse since she does really like it as part of our routine. I hate to deny her when she has been missing me.

I don’t think continuing after the conference is a good idea both because if she really isn’t getting much, it frustrates her and makes her mad instead of relaxing her and because I feel pretty ready to stop. She pops off so much to talk to me, horrible latch, I just am ready.
