Horrible suspension in xev 9e
I’m posting this to check if other XEV 9e owners are experiencing the same issue.
I own a Mahindra XEV 9e Pack 3 with Adaptive Suspension. One of the main reasons I chose this variant was the adaptive suspension system, expecting a noticeably smoother and more controlled ride.
Unfortunately, the suspension does not behave as expected.
What I’m experiencing:
- Excessive harshness over small bumps, broken patches, and speed breakers
- Poor low-speed ride quality, especially in city driving
- Very little perceptible difference between drive modes
- The car feels stiff and unsettled, which is surprising for an adaptive setup
I recently updated the car to the latest software version (v912), hoping this was a calibration or tuning issue that would be fixed via software. Sadly, there is no meaningful improvement post-update.
This makes me wonder:
- Is the adaptive suspension poorly calibrated?
- Is the system not dynamically adjusting damping as intended?
- Or is this being passed off as “normal behavior”?
What’s concerning is that this doesn’t feel like a subjective “ride preference” issue. The behavior feels fundamentally wrong for a vehicle marketed with adaptive suspension, especially at this price point.
I haven’t yet had a detailed technical inspection done (planning to escalate), but before that I wanted to ask:
- Are other XEV 9e Pack 3 owners facing similar suspension issues?
- Did a service visit or recalibration actually help anyone?
- Has Mahindra officially acknowledged this as a software or hardware limitation?
Posting this for awareness and to understand whether this is an isolated case or a wider issue. Would really appreciate inputs from fellow owners.
