One problem I’ve always faced while studying is this:

The same topic exists in multiple books, but the page numbers are completely different. So when someone says “Check Page 120 of XYZ book”, it becomes useless if you’re using a different book or edition. You end up manually searching the entire chapter again.

Recently I came across an app that actually solves this in a smart way.

It maps the same content or topic across two or more different books. You simply select the book you’re studying from, and the app automatically shows the correct reference according to your book — not someone else’s.

For example:

If a CA student posts a doubt from Book A – Page 10.25, a CS/CMA (or any different course) student studying the same concept in Book B might see it as Page 85 in their book. The app links both automatically, so everyone sees the right reference without manual searching.

What I liked even more is that the reference appears below each post, and clicking on it takes you directly to the exact page or topic. If the same concept exists in 5 or 10 different books, each student still sees the reference based on their selected book.

Honestly, this feels like something study platforms should have solved long ago. Makes group learning much more practical and less confusing.

Curious if anyone else has faced this issue or used something similar.

Why do the same topics have totally different page numbers in every textbook?
