Feeling horribly drowsy and fogginess post taking clonazepam

My Doctor has prescribed 1mg dose or slightly higher dose during social event. Gives me all happy and joyful feeling.

But i noticed these things:

• Terrible drowsiness starts kicking in 3-4 hours after taking the dose.
• Face looks tired and people can notice it. (probably seems to be tired eyes)
• If at all i take nap, it will be for long hours. (people find difficult to wake me up). Feels like a deep sleep
• I also noticed the continued lingering drowsiness for 2-3 days after the event.

Are this normal during clonazepam consumption? Have you also felt the same?
