House of Pain - Jump Around Is Jump Around safe to use on YouTube?

discussion

I’ve been noticing a massive trend lately where a ton of YouTubers are using this exact same song in their backgrounds, and honestly, it’s kind of crazy how none of these videos are getting flagged or taken down. You see these channels with millions of subscribers and professional production teams using it constantly, and the videos just stay up indefinitely without any visible copyright notices or issues. It makes you think—there is absolutely no way these guys would be stupid enough to risk their entire ad revenue and monetization just for a background track. These creators run their channels like actual businesses, so they definitely wouldn't gamble their monthly earnings unless they knew for a fact that the song was safe to use, either because it’s royalty-free or they’ve got some kind of licensing deal worked out behind the scenes. If there was even a tiny chance of getting a copyright strike or losing the money from a video that took dozens of hours to edit, they just wouldn't use it. The fact that the song is everywhere and the videos are still making money basically proves that it's cleared for use, because no one at that level is going to risk their paycheck just for some music. That being said, does anyone actually know the specifics of how this works? Could someone explain if I can safely use this song in my own videos without getting demonetized?
