Maid issues

Today my maid told me her granddaughter keeps falling sick and asked if buffalo milk would be better than cow’s milk. I just said she should visit a pediatrician and follow their advice. She said they already do, the medicines help for a bit, and then the child falls sick again.

She also said she can’t really take care of the baby because she works all day, while her bahu is already pregnant with a second child.

I realised I genuinely don’t know what advice to give, and honestly, a part of me feels that even if I suggest things, they probably won’t be followed. I did get judgmental in my head, and then felt conflicted and helpless because this is clearly a pattern of poverty and difficult living conditions. It doesn’t feel fair to fully blame them when the system itself works against them.

Just sharing my thoughts. If anyone has advice on how to handle or respond in situations like this, I’d love to hear your perspective.
