I want to share you my tips
Just realised today what is really working for me to actually get better at touch typing. I'm not a master. I'm currently at 85 words per minute on average now with 98% accuracy consistently on average.
One of the biggest pain points that was holding me back was trying to type faster than what I am can do naturally. Typically when trying to type faster than you naturally can, you'll end up tensing your hands. Your hands should be relaxed as much as possible as typing.
So the biggest tip I have for you is not only focus on accuracy more than speed (that should be the score you care about the most), but you should also just type as naturally fast or slow as your hands want to go. You'll find your hands are a lot more relaxed feeling when you do this and you'll notice much better results. Let that speed come naturally from when your hands want to speed that way. Never force it.
Just remember, if your hands feel tensed up, it's because you're going faster than they can naturally go. Slow it down and just think to yourself you're going at the pace your hands want to go and let it happen. Do this whilst focusing on that accuracy.
Happy typing!
