Cpap cleaning & advice
This is a couple of different cpap topics all at once. Plus a bit of a rant at the end, which yall can skip. I was diagnosed with moderate obstructive sleep apnea in October and have been using my cpap machine since October 22nd.

Am I cleaning it enough? I wipe it off every morning and I do a full clean once per week with vinegar and then soapy water. Let it fully air dry. This is what my doctor instructed and what I see online. However, I've gotten sick 3 times since starting cpap (sinus infection, got a cold twice). Prior to that, I hadn't gotten sick in almost 5 years. Is that just a coincidence?

How long should I wait to discuss other options? I'd say my sleep has improved VERY SLIGHTLY. I still feel pretty exhausted mutliple times per week and I still wake up 3-6 times per night. Increasingly, I have trouble falling back asleep after waking up. I used to wake up a lot but fall right back to sleep in a few minutes. Now at least once per week, I wake up at 2am and cant fall back asleep. Perhaps this is due to something unrelated? I have no issues falling aleep with my mask on and pressure settings are fine. I've checked in with my sleep specialist 3 times since starting cpap and she said my mask fit is amazing and I have basically no leaks and the data from the machine looks great. I easily get 7-10 hrs of cpap useage per night. But I don't really feel great and she told me it takes a while to adjust... it's been 3 months...
I'm mostly frustrated that I'm paying for this machine that seems to have only improved my sleep by like 5% so far. And I'm eventually going to have to shell out even more money come summer time because I camp a lot so I'll need cpap batteries. I tried skipping my cpap for a short trip two weeks ago and I couldnt really sleep without my cpap. Which is also annoying that I feel like I'm dependent on it to sleep now but it isnt really improving my sleep quality by much.
I'm really determined to stick with this but it's disheartening that I'm still so tired all the time, I'm spending a bunch of money, and I've been sick a lot in the past few months.
