How does one chooses their first manga series to collect?

Let me start by saying that I have never owned a single manga. I know, I know…

Not long ago, I got a Crunchyroll subscription and I have been welcomed to a wonderful world… In turn, I have been googling titles before watching and discovered the vast world of manga and light novels.

But honestly… there is an insane amount of content out there and I feel completely overwhelmed and hopeless.

How does one chooses their first manga series?

From Frieren to Arifureta to Fairy Tail to Dragon Ball.. (list goes on and on) honestly how does one make that important choice?

As of late I have been reading Black Summoner as Light Novel on my Tolino, which I am enjoying quite a lot. Have tried many years to find a book genre that I can read with pure enjoyment and I finally found it.

Seems that my Tolino will be getting all the light novels, but would like to enjoy the beautiful drawings of manga artists on my bookshelves.

You guys are all pros here, would appreciate a word of you if you wish to share it with me.
