Hi,

Ever since I was a kid I seemingly had cold hands more often than everyone else, and/or was mentally affected more negatively by my hands being cold than everyone else. This never really went away, and still affects me on a daily basis. Yesterday it was a bit colder than usual in the office and my hands were just completely freezing, while everyone else is doing fine. I had to go to the tap every 15 minutes to run hot water over them for the entirety of my shift.

I have gone to the doctor's for this issue in my early teens as well as about 7 years ago when I was in my early 30s and both said that there wasn't anything obviously wrong and that there is individual variety in almost everything, and that I was probably just at the colder side of the spectrum when it came to this.

I don't really know what to do with this and people around me are kind of judgy/non-understanding ("are you really wearing gloves already? it's not that cold outside" type of comments, for example). I figured I'd make a post here, and perhaps learn a thing or two.

I did an experiment where I filled up a bucket of (very) hot water and dunked my hands in it for 3 minutes. The pictures you see are taken after removing my hand from the water. I have also included my girlfriend's hand for reference, on the first picture there are no special circumstances but on the pic where both of our hands are in it, she just came from outside and had cold hands.

Is there anything at all anyone notices? It just really doesn't look like Raynaud's, but my personal anecdotal experience of always having cold hands ever since childhood and the effect it has on me does have a lot of overlap with that of people suffering from Raynaud's.

Cold hands issue, but maybe not Raynaud's
