2 Timothy 1:12 - "This is why I suffer as I do. However, I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth which He has revealed]
2 Timothy 1:12 - "This is why I suffer as I do. However, I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth which He has revealed], and I am persuaded (convinced) that He is able to guard and keep that which I have entrusted to Him until that day
Paul is saying Jesus is the most trustworthy friend you could ever have. When those OCD thoughts tell you "What if God doesn't really love you?" or "What if you're not really saved?" - remember Paul's confidence! He said "I am convinced" - not "I hope" or "maybe." You can have that same confidence! Jesus is strong enough to keep your soul safe no matter what your worried mind is telling you. Your salvation isn't based on your perfect thoughts or feelings - it's based on Jesus being faithful to His promises
