I’ve been using hyprland pretty much since I started using Linux recently. I found about hyprscrolling and loved it and then decided well I should try niri. First impression is great it fixes pretty much all of my issues I was having with hyprland! Getting scratchpads working how I wanted took some finagling but it worked out great.

Now the question is I have a waybar and custom eww widget setup. I just got everything updated to use matugen too. The issue my eww stuff is definitely gonna take some work to all get working on niri.

So, do I double down fix everything for niri or do I swallow my pride and just go with DMS? I’m pretty proud of the custom setup but looking at DMS it just feels so complete?

How hard is it to further customize DMS? For example I have an eww calendar widget that is integrated with my Google Calendar could I replicate that with DMS?
