Phone goes to 60hz,90hz,120hz.
I already see people rushing to the comments saying it's variable refresh rate, I know, the issue is not that in my case though, as during most of the time it doesn't feel this way, it's abnormal. Before making assumptions, please read what I've written below 👇:
Idk what kind of a bug this is, but from time to time my phone decides that it's going to stay on 60-90hz and back to 120hz for 2 seconds and then default to the same 60-90hz again. And yes, it's on promotion mode, not set to 60hz.
Generally feels choppy, and if I force my phone to 60hz it then feels like 30hz for some reason.
Idk if somebody else is noticing this issue too, but what I found is that opening the camera app and closing if after a few seconds fixes the issue?! (A restart works too)
It has been happening for months now, occasionally, maybe once a month or twice? I thought iPhones "just work", but maybe that's not the case anymore. (It did occur in iOS 18 too, before you jump into conclusions that iOS 26 is the issue)
