My hair picks up/absorbs smells like crazy, what can I do about it?

I don't really mind average smells or most foods unless its deep fried, i don't find it bothering. However seems like I will start to work as a mortician and well... you can put the two together. I live with my partner and he is already feeling uneasy of my profession choice, I don't want my hair to smell like that. Do you have any sprays or other products to keep my hair smell good, without a physical barrier (bonnet)?
