Chronic meteorism
About a year ago, without changing my diet or lifestyle, I have developed chronic meteorism.
In various severity, every meal i eat is followed by bloating, belching and flatulence (sometimes involuntary), and occasionally heartburn.
Just drinking water in the morning is enough to get me belching.
Today, after eating a small meal for lunch (buckwheat with tahini and feta), I had such awful heartburn and nausea, I had to puke. There seemed to have been a bit of blood in my vomit. That really alarmed me.
I eat a decently healthy diet. I could be more active, but I try to go on a walk at least once a week and generally get to where I need to by foot.
I do have a history of insulin resistance.
Somewhat recent blood tests came back good.
I have not changed my diet or lifestyle in the past year.
This condition is incredibly uncomfortable, and even humiliating, when in public spaces.
I am planning on going to the doctor with this soon, but am afraid I won't get sufficient treatment.
Just wanted to know if anyone has a similar experience, what the reason was behind it and if there's anything I can do about it myself.
