How hard is vet school?

I'm in my last year of IBDP and I'm probably starting vet school this september, I'm really excited but also worried that vet school is worse than IB.

For those who took IB, how does first 1-2 years of vet school (UK) compare to IB in terms of workload, difficulty of content etc?

Also, around how much free time if you study an average amount can you spend on clubs and sports? I really want to continue to play in a band and rowing in uni and picking between the two would be really difficult (I'm not at an elite level for either, mostly just for fun) but I'm worried that I wouldn't have to time balance everything.
