Hiking advice
I am thinking of trying Ben Nevis by the end of January. Never had experience winter climbing, but did a lot of fairly long (10h+ hikes) in alps with elevations up to 2000m total. Also am used to extreme cold (did cross country 30-40km skiing runs in Lapland at -40/-45). Have all winter equipment in the world (from Lapland skiing), only lack specialized equipment - ice axes and crampons etc. Also thinking of hiring a guide cuz never climbed it before, so don’t know the layout under the snow. People, who climbed it, do you think it’s an acceptable or reckless risk?
