Day 18 - Dad says I’d be better off as a SAHM and my husband defended me

Dad knows the job hunting keeps me very busy for months but I never missed any responsibility regarding taking care of my child. Today my dad told me I’d be better off staying home for my 6-year-old.

Cue my husband rolling his eyes. He actually said, “No. She’s doing amazing and she should keep going.”

I almost cried. It really hit me hard. Nothing like your own dad making you question your choices, only for your partner to remind you that yes, you can do both. Chase your career and be a great mom. I really needed that.
