Major signs...that something is screwed up in the app

In case you missed it: there were a whole lot of people who noted they got "major signs" yesterday. This morning I joined the crew. Despite a readiness score of 89, activity of 95, and zero symptoms, I got a Major Signs warning. When I clicked through, I was told "Although no individual biometric stands out..."

Oura, I have three issues with this:

  1. Given the number of people who posted in the "I got major signs but I am fine" thread, along with my experience, I am guessing something is screwed up in the app.

  2. My ring is telling me to "prioritize rest today" which is a strong suggestion that has significant impact on my life. I had a running interval session planned today, and if I'd listened to my ring, I would have skipped that. Given that I am not sick, the ring would have had a net negative effect on my life.

  3. It's irresponsible for a health tracking device to basically say "You have major signs of impending illness. But we can't identify what those signs are." Can you imagine going to trainer (much less a doctor) to have them tell you "yeah, I think there's something wrong with you...but I can't tell you what." You'd get another personal trainer, right?

Can I just ignore the ring's suggestions? Sure, and I did. But at that point the ring has lost credibility.
