Riviera Maya—what to wear for temp at night?

First year going to Cancun! So excited 😁

I’m struggling with what to pack for the shows at night—looks like the low temps are in the low 60s. I know weather can vary year to year, but do people generally find it gets chilly at night on the beach? Are shorts not warm enough?
