Transport from La Guardia to Hotel near MoMA

Hey, was wondering what are the best ways to transit from airport to hotel.

- an adult two kids (14 and 17 yrs old)

- 2 big luggages

- arriving monday evening (expecting traffic from office rush)

Would it be better to call a taxi, uber, metro, etc?

If so, are there any way to check the price?

What is the tipping culture like?
