left dry tampon in for too long

hey guys so i put in a super tampon last night because i was at the end of my period and was going to take it out after my movie but ended up accidentally falling asleep. i ended up leaving it in for about 7 or 8 hours and when i pulled it out it was dry. will i be okay?
