[Complete] [100K] [Contemporary Romance] Thrifted Love

>100k

Hello!

I'm looking for beta-readers that enjoy character-driven, slow-burn contemporary romances. This draft has been polished and edited multiple times. I believe it is clean enough for beta-feedback.

Blurb:

Sunny Nestor is not a romantic. She's seen what "love" is like and she wants no part in it. Sure, sometimes she wonders if true love is real, but all of her life experiences point to one answer: hell no. She spends her days fixing up homes for her uncle's renovation business and helping her family any way she can. That is, until the love note she finds tucked in the pocket of a cardigan she thrifted leads her to make a spontaneous decision. She's going to chase down the origins of the note to finally find the answer to her question.

Adam Soteria doesn’t give a shit about love. His sister Alice tells him he needs to start opening his heart up to more people than just her and his best friend Ray. He disagrees. All he cares about is getting his fixer-upper of a house into living condition so he can carry out his hermit lifestyle. But that all changes when a woman shows up at his shop in the middle of a rainstorm, looking for directions.

He learns that her name is Sunny, she needs somewhere to stay, and she’s a little insane. It’s all too easy to be dragged into her quest for true love. While the two investigate the note, something starts to grow between them. Adam’s starting to believe that they’ll find the answer to Sunny’s question, just not in the way she thought they would…

Genre: Contemporary Romance. Word count: 100K. Warnings: Brief mentions of abusive relationships (emotional and mental) that the FMC grew up around, and infidelity (NOT between the main characters).

I'm looking for feedback on believability of character motivation and general reader reaction! It would be great if your feedback could be returned in 3 weeks. If you DNF, would love if you could kindly advise why!

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please feel free to message me! If you have any questions or would like more info before committing to beta-reading, let me know!

Note: I've never had beta-readers before so I'm very new to all of this but NOT new to constructive criticism :) I welcome your genuine thoughts and opinions! I can share this file through Google Docs. Also, the title is subject to change. I haven't found a title that really resonates or feels right yet!
